China New Energy sells second ethanol plant to Thailand

In China, China New Energy has received a contract to build another ethanol plant for Ubon Bio Ethanol in Thailand. The $16.6 million 100,000 metric ton per year facility should start development later this year and be online by 2016. The facility will use cassava as a feedstock, equal to Udon’s first plant that was commissioned in December and is now running at full capacity.
