US ethanol exports up 33% in January as Brazilian demand picks up

In Texas, January ethanol exports were up 36% on the month and 33% over January 2013, making it the highest amount of exports since Dec. 2011. Of the 326 million liters that were exported, the highest volume of undenatured ethanol—90.6 million liters—went to Brazil. Other major markets were India and the Philippines. For denatured ethanol exports, Canada was the top destination with 70.2 million liters, followed by the UAE with 35.5 million liters.
