In California, Pacific Ethanol plans to re-start its long-mothballed ethanol plant in Madera by May 1. As with the company’s other facilities, corn oil extraction technology will be installed later this year. Nearly all of the plant’s 35 employees have been hired. The company hopes to source 15% of the corn and sorghum it will use as feedstock from local farmers.
