Ethanol prices soar while NY Harbor premium hits $1 a gallon

In the Midwest, ethanol prices are up 40% since Jan. 27 due to continued logistical challenges keeping the fuel from getting to market. Recently prices for April delivery hit $2.467 a gallon but some analysts believe it could go as high as $3 per gallon if ethanol doesn’t start reaching the coasts soon. The New York Harbor premium currently $1 gallon, up from the average of 10 cents.
