Chesapeake approves permit extension for Tidewater Biodiesel

March 19, 2014 |

In Virginia, the Chesapeake City Council has again given Tidewater Biodiesel permission for a 10 million gallon biodiesel facility that will use waste cooking oil as feedstock. The facility was to be built in 2012 after receiving initial permission in 2011 but due to the economic climate, operations were put on hold. The initial permit was set to expire in May but was granted a one-year extension.
