Canadian government provides loan to pilot plant in Brooklyn

In Canada, the Canadian government has provided a $500,000 loan to the CelluFuel demonstration plant in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia that is expected to produce 1.3 million liters of ethanol annually from 6,000 metric tons of wood fiber. The Nova Scotia government has also put in $1.5 million into the $4 million project. The fuel is expected to be sold to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick oil companies.
