European rapeseed yields seen steady despite warm winter

April 15, 2014 |

In Germany, rapeseed yields are expected to remain on average this summer across major producing regions despite a relatively warm winter. The European Commission has pegged 2014 production at 20.7 million metric tons, down just 100,000 tons from last year. Smaller areas planted with rapeseed in Germany and Poland will be compensated by higher plantings in the UK and France.
