Canada: Biofuels Digest’s Spring 2014 5-Minute Guide – Bioindustrial Innovation Canada launched

April 17, 2014 |

In Canada, the Sustainable Chemistry Alliance and Ontario’s Bioindustrial Innovation Centre — who jointly developed Sarnia as a renewable chemicals hub, have consolidated into Bioindustrial Innovation Canada. Murray McLaughlin, former SCA executive director, will be the executive director of Bioindustrial Innovation Canada. The consolidated organization has launched a newsletter, Bioeconomy Visions, and has outlined four strategic objectives.

1. Be the recognized, national catalyst of hybrid technologies in the Canadian economy
2. Catalyse the establishment of multiple, networked hybrid chemistry clusters in Canada
3. Establish Canada’s first self-funded commercial hybrid technology acceleration fund
4. Be Canada’s hybrid ecosystem leader for economic, social and environmental sustainability.

More on the expanded organization is here.
