Platts Kingsman says boosting Brazilian ethanol blend will stretch capacity

In Brazil, Platts Kingsman says that any increase in the ethanol blending mandate would stretch the country’s production capacity, likely impacting its ethanol trade flows with the US. Talk is that the 25% ethanol blend could rise to 27.5% as soon as next month. Platts Kingsman says ethanol demand would increase by 95 million liters per month as a result of the extra 2.5% blend.
