Port Hawkesbury Paper looking to produce cellulosic sugar for chemicals

In Canada, Port Hawkesbury Paper has commissioned the study of a facility that will produce 500 metric tons of cellulosic sugar per quarter as it trials converting it into lactic acid and polylactic acid at their test facilities. The company hopes to have the plant online next year.
