In Brazil, ethanol exports to the US soared in April to 137.4 million liters, 77% higher than the month before and a third higher than during the same period last year, due to a temporary spike in ethanol prices in the US that facilitated arbitrage trade. Platts reported a trader citing at least three vessels that went from Brazil to the US during April while Kingsman estimated at least 100 million liters was US-bound.
