First ethanol plant in India’s Haryana state commissioned

In India, the first ethanol plant in Haryana has been commissioned, attached to one of the Panipat Cooperative Sugar Mills. The facility, developed in partnership with an unnamed US company, will produce 45,000 liters of ethanol per day. The fuel will be sold to oil marketing companies for use in blending.
