Ethanol producers saw peak profits of up to $4.50 per bushel in March

In Illinois, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign has shown that record profits were reached in March with a $4.50 in profit per bushel. In late March, distilleries hit their peak profits with as much as $2 per bushel higher than the previous profit record.  Profits fell back to $1.45 per bushel during the first week of May.
