New Zealand’s Green Party proposes investment bank for biofuel and clean tech projects

In New Zealand, the Green Party is proposing the creation of a $120 million Green Investment Bank to support the country’s transition to a greener economy. The government-owned for-profit bank would use increased royalties from oil and gas over the next three years to invest in eco-energy projects such as biofuels, renewable energy and clean technologies.
