Biofuels Digest Index edges up to 73.05 as ethanol advances

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, edged up 0.14 percent to 73.05 as ethanol equities advanced. For the day, BioAmber (BIOA) settled back 5.96 percent to $9.78, while Metabolix (MBLX) shed 5.94 percent to $0.95. Among other equities, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) surged 5.75 percent to $12.32. Overall, advances led declines 9 to 7 for the day.
