EU to support Mauritius’ bid to boost ethanol use in transport

In Mauritius, the EU has set aside EUR4 million to support the country’s uptake of ethanol for transport but the government must come up with a plan of how using the fuel will enhance the country’s development, a plan that then must be approved by the European Commission. The country currently has voluntary non-binding blending standards.
