In Virginia, ethanol production has re-started at the former Osage Bio Energy plant in Hopewell. The facility has already produced a million gallons of ethanol since start-up. The facility will benefit from state subsidies through 2017 but corn-based ethanol won’t qualify for the per gallon subsidy in 2016 and 2017.
