Company buys mothballed NC ethanol plant for 15% of build cost

In North Carolina, Tyton N.C. Biofuels has bought the Clean Burn Fuels ethanol plant in Raeford for nearly $15 million. The $100 million, 60 million gallon per year facility was mothballed about nine months of operation. Tyton BioEnergy Systems has a proprietary technology to produce biofuels from tobacco feedstock.
