Americans United for Change ads say biofuels help to off-set Iraq price spike

June 26, 2014 |

In Washington, with oil prices on the rise in response to the deteriorating situation in Iraq, Americans United for Change announced a major new ad campaign encouraging the EPA not to turn its back on a secure, safe, reliable energy source that the U.S. has complete control over: clean burning, homegrown renewable fuels.

AUFC will begin airing ‘Control’ on national cable (MSNBC, CNN, FOX News) June 30 – July 3 ahead of the holiday weekend to underscore the fact that preserving the Renewable Fuel Standard and cheaper choices at the pump for American consumers means more stability in gas prices even in times of Middle East instability. The bottom line: now is not the time for the U.S. to slip further into dependency on foreign oil by discouraging ethanol and biodiesel production, which boosts our nation’s economy, rural communities, national security and environment.
