USDA to re-start monthly industry report survey for ethanol

June 30, 2014 |

In Washington, over the next several months, the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service will contact ethanol producers across the United States, as the agency is preparing to conduct a monthly Current Agricultural Industry Report survey.

The Current Industrial Report program began in 1904 with the Census Bureau. Due to budget reductions the bureau discontinued the program in 2011. Beginning this year, NASS will take over data collection and publishing for the industrial reports that involve agriculture products consumed /used  in wet and dry corn milling for ethanol production and the production of coproducts during this process.
