Ottawa Biofuel launches crowdfunding campaign to expand production

July 2, 2014 |

In Canada, Ottawa Biofuel has launched a $50,000 crowdfunding campaign through IndieGoGo to fund expansion. Specifcally, the company is looking to make the transportation, storage, and processing cleaner and more efficient and improve on-site safety, including a dedicated storage room for Class-1 flammable liquids, additional spill containment, and vapour-free dispensing pumps.

It is also seeking to increase the efficiency with which they collect the used cooking oil, including but not limited to a cargo trailer to improve transportation of both raw materials and finished product as well as upgrade their equipment to double our production capacity, which also halves their required energy input into the process.
