EU rapeseed harvest seen breaking record production

In Europe, the rapeseed harvest may come close to a record this year thanks to good weather during sowing and growing periods. France’s ODA expects EU production to hit 22.5 million metric tons, up from the 2009 high of 21.6 million tons, while COCERAL expects production to reach 22.8 million tons. The European Commission estimated last week just 21.1 million tons.
