Grassley files amendments to jobs bill bringing back biodiesel tax breaks

July 31, 2014 |

In Washington, Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa filed amendments to restore the wind energy and domestic biodiesel tax incentives to the Bring Jobs Home Act before the Senate. The Bring Jobs Home Act has been widely criticized as a political messaging bill from the Senate majority that isn’t expected to pass and won’t accomplish its stated mission, as noted here.

“I don’t expect to be allowed to offer my amendments because the Senate majority leader shuts out amendments from the Republican side,” Grassley said. “But I want to draw attention to the potential growth in a sector of the economy that’s right under our noses.  This area could get a real boost if the majority in Congress chooses to act to restore these tax incentives.
