New Britain Palm Oil’s majority shareholder puts up Sime Darby Berhad

In the UK, New Britain Palm Oil’s majority shareholder Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad has designated Sime Darby Berhad as its preferred winner for offloading its entire 48.97% stake in the company. The terms of the proposed deal nor whether it would result in a formal takeover. Kulim was forbidden last year by Papua New Guinea’s competition regulator.
