Canada’s SDTC accepting Statements of Interest for future grant round

August 3, 2014 |

In Canada, Sustainable Development Technology Canada announced that it is accepting Statements of Interest from August 27th to October 15th, 2014. SDTC invests in late-stage development and pre-commercial demonstration of clean technologies by Canadian companies in a range of innovative solutions across all industries. These technologies increase efficiency and productivity while addressing climate change, clean air, water and soil.

You may recall that SDTC last year, through its NextGen Biofuels Fund, said it could be investing just shy of $40 million in the Vanerco project – a joint venture of Enerkem and Greenfield Ethanol, slated for construction in Varennes, Quebec. Their initial investment was $734,500, that will support the initial development of the facility as a repayable contribution, and the final amount that could go up to $39.8 million.

We covered that story in Chalice from the Palace,” here – or you can find out more about this opportunity directly from SDTC here.
