Biofuels Digest Index rises to 78.32 as chemicals rally

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, edged up 0.14 percent to 78.32 as chemicals equities recovered. For the day, Amyris (AMRS) jumped 3.21 percent to $3.86, while Metabolix (MBLX) rose 5.77 percent to $0.55. Among other equities, Valero (VLO) was up 3.08 percent to $51.26. Overall, declines led advances 9 to 8 for the day.
