Poet-DSM to host Poet Liberty grand opening on Sept. 3

In Iowa, Poet-DSM expects to open its Project Liberty facility in Emmetsburg on Sept. 3. The cellulosic ethanol facility will produce 20 million gallons per year at first but will then ramp up to 25 million gallons. The opening event will include a tour, lunch and a flyover by a biofuel-powered airplane squad. Biomass is currently being treated to start producing the first gallons of ethanol.
