ClearStak receives patent for emission reducing catalytic converter for biofuels broilers

In Connecticut, ClearStak has received a patent for its Intelligently-Controlled Catalytic Converter for Biofuel-Fired Boiler. The technology pre-heats a catalyst to reduce emissions for starting and reloading fuel in both batch and continuous-fed appliances and systems. Clearstak, an environmental services company dedicated to controlling biomass combustion to reduce emissions, has been working with several manufacturers of biomass heating, biochar and power systems to integrate this technology into their designs to enable them to meet current and pending U.S. EPA and state regulations for emission reduction.
