Biofuels Digest Index jumps to 6-week high of 82.87 as ethanol equities surge

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, gained 1.32 percent to a 6-week high of 82.87 as ethanol equities surged.  For the day, Gevo (GEVO) soared 10.45 percent to $0.52, while Kior (KIOR) slumped 8.48 percent to $0.10. Among other equities, Cosan (CZZ) was up 4.47 percent to $14.50. Overall, advances led declines 5 to 3 for the day.
