Cambrian Innovation and Genomatica receive World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer awards

September 1, 2014 |

In Switzerland, the World Economic Forum has named both Cambrian Innovation and Genomatica as a 2015 World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer. Cambrian employs a bioelectric technology to cost-effectively clean wastewater by generating significant clean energy in the process, assisting with sustainable management of water resources. Genomatica, on the other hand, was recognized for its biotechnology-based manufacturing processes that enable its partners to produce the world’s most widely-used chemicals a ‘better way,’ with better economics and greater sustainability than petroleum-based processes.

The 2015 World Economic Forum Technology Pioneers will be honored during the Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2014, which will take place from September 10 to 12 in Tianjin, People’s Republic of China.
