Biofuels Digest Index drops to 81.55 as chemicals fall off sharply

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, dropped 1.12 percent to 81.55 as chemicals fell off sharply. For the day, Metabolix (MBLX) retreated 12.79 percent to $1.00, while Solazyme (SZYM) dropped 4.17 percent to $8.51. Among other equities, BioAMber (BIOA) lost 3.53 percent to $11.76. Overall, declines led advances 4 to 1 for the day.
