September 9, 2014 |

In Nevada, Methes Energy has attained Quality Assurance Plan (QAP-B) RIN assurance status. The company retained Genscape as its QAP provider for RIN verification, and has worked over the last three months to ensure that the process complies with EPA requirements.

Methes’ QAP-B assurance status, with a first assured production date of July 1st, 2014, is available for review and tracking via Genscape’s Biofuels Dashboard for Biodiesel QAP Services on Genscape’s website. This is the latest third party verification process that Methes has successfully achieved following its recent accreditation as a BQ-9000 Producer and Marketer by the National Biodiesel Accreditation Commission (NBAC).

Last week, the company also announced the introduction of its Methes PP-MEC catalyst with Dorf Ketal Specialty Catalysts as exclusive manufacturer. The PP-MEC catalyst is a major active ingredient in this a new pre-treatment process for high free fatty acid (FFA) biodiesel feedstocks, including non-food grade corn oil, that Methes announced via webinar on August 28th.
