Midwest ethanol crush margins sink nearly 21% on the week

September 22, 2014 |

In Texas, the Midwest ethanol crush margin has fallen nearly 21% on the week to 65.31 cents/gal, the lowest seen in seven months. Low corn prices have led to increased ethanol production which has in turn re-filled stocks. Less demand for ethanol is weighing on prices and therefore pushing down the crush margin.
