Taiwan cancels biogas-from-food waste project due to lack of technology

In Taiwan, the country’s Environmental Protection Agency has frozen plans to produce biogas from 600 tons of food waste collected daily in Taipei and New Taipei because the domestic industry does not have the capacity to overcome technical challenges. The government will now seek international expertise to determine how to move forward with the plan.
