Madagascar Energy inaugurates island’s first ethanol plant

In Madagascar, Madagascar Energy Company has fired up the island’s first ethanol facility. The plant will produce 2,000 liters of fuel per day from sugarcane and will supply the local cooking market. There are eight companies on the island looking to produce 4 million liters of ethanol per day from 75,000ha of feedstock.
