On the Move in the Bioeconomy: Virent, MHG, Renewable Fuels Association

In Georgia, MHG, the holding company for innovative biopolymer entities Meredian Inc. and DaniMer Scientific, announced that Michael N. Mang has joined the company and will be taking on the role of Director of Materials Technology.   Prior to joining MHG, Mang served as the Director of Product Technology and Application Development at Myriant Corporation, and was previous to that Director of Product Development for Specialty Products at Natureworks.

 

In Washington, the Renewable Fuels Association announced Randall Doyal, General Manager and CEO of Al-Corn Clean Fuel, as the next Chairman of the Board of Directors. Doyal heads an ethanol facility in Claremont, Minn., that produces 50 million gallons annually.

Additionally, RFA elected:
• Vice-Chairman Mick Henderson, General Manager of Commonwealth Agri-Energy in Hopkinsville, Ky.
• Treasurer Walter Wendland of Golden Grain Energy, LLC in Mason City, Iowa.
• President Bob Dinneen, CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association in Washington, D.C.
 

In Wisconsin, Virent announced the appointment of Edgar Steenwinkel as the company’s Vice President of Research and Development. He joins Virent from Albemarle, where he served as Global Business Director for
Alternative Fuels Technologies.
