Zimbabwe’s Hippo Valley Estates to boost ethanol production

In Zimbabwe, Tongaat Hulett’s Hippo Valley Estates says it plans to boost cane production by 10% annually for diversion to ethanol production, which currently stands at 21 million liters. Installed capacity is currently at 40 million liters but production has stalled due to years of low prices. Now the government has implemented E15, growing demand is triggering a return to production.
