EIA says September ethanol production fell to six-month low

In Washington, the Energy Information Agency says that September’s ethanol production fell to a six-month low of 1.16 billion gallons. That’s 39.22 million gallons, or 3.27%, less than in August. Despite low corn prices, low ethanol prices squeezed margins, leading to lower production.
