California Air Resources Board releases presentation for LCFS Compliance Curve and Cost Containment provisions meeting

October 27, 2014 |

In California, the California Air Resources Board has released its presentation for today’s meeting on the Low Carbon Fuel Standard Compliance Curve and Cost Containment provisions. The presentation has three versions of the compliance curve but all hold true to the 10% reduction by 2020.  This is significant in that the compliance curve was frozen for three years due to the lawsuit and ARB is proposing to catch up on CI reductions without a time delay.  ARB may encounter resistance to the Compliance Curve and will be receptive to comments supportive of the proposal.

The LCFC will be coordinating comments from the low carbon fuels industry.  Prior to the comment closure date (likely in early November), a sample letter will be available at the LCFC’s policy page.
