US ethanol production up as harvest winds down

In the US, weekly ethanol production for the week ending 10/17/2014 averaged 37.63 million gallons daily, up 11,,000 b/d from the week before. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 891,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 13.66 billion gallons.
Imports of ethanol again dropped to zero after jumping to 3,000 b/d last week the first time in 11 weeks.
Gasoline demand for the week averaged 371.1 million gallons daily—a six-week high. Refiner/blender input of ethanol was 876,000 b/d, just 2.2% below production levels. Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 10.14%.
