Philippines needs to import 2/3 of ethanol mandate this year

In the Philippines, the USDA estimates the island archipelago will need to import 200 million liters of ethanol to compliment the 100 million liters of local production in order to reach this year’s blending mandate. Without significant increases in investment, by 2020 when the E20 policy comes into place, the country will need to import 860 million liters annually.
