Brazilian ethanol headed to the US from Santos

November 17, 2014 |

In Brazil, between 10,000 and 20,000 cubic meters of ethanol could be heading to the US from the port of Santos, thanks to a weaker Real against the dollar and a recent price rally for ethanol in the US. Platts said bids and offers heard last week were $545/cu m and $555/cu m. The arbitrage window is expected to close in December.
