Mendota Bioenergy pilot project to commission in December

In California, construction is underway at the pilot plant Mendota Advanced Bioenergy Beet Cooperative is building to produce ethanol from beets. The pilot plant should be commissioned in December and run for nine months before it pushes to scale up to 15 million gallons annually with a commercial facility, aiming for commission during 2017 or early 2018. About 3,000 tons of beet will be processed during the pilot phase.
