French ethanol industry leading the way towards EU-wide 15% blending

In France, the national ethanol industry is working to push the new European Commission to re-think the post-2020 biofuel policy and go for 15% biofuel blending rather by 2030 rather than keeping mum on targets when the Renewable Energy Directive expires. Unsurprisingly, the association wants to see equal treatment for first generation and advanced biofuels rather than capping crop-based fuels as proposed to tackle ILUC.
