Maharashtra may drop outdated sugar mill policy that could boost ethanol

In India, Maharashtra is looking to scrap an old policy that requires mills to be at least 25km away from each other—as the crow flies. Among other benefits to the industry, mills say that a consequential boost in cane production will provide more feedstock for ethanol, creating a win-win situation for everyone.
