Purti Power to treble ethanol production thanks to jump in demand

November 25, 2014 |

In India, Purti Power and Sugar Limited is looking to triple its ethanol production to take advantage of the demand created by the local Scania ethanol bus trial and the expectation that government will boost blending to 10%. The facility will produce 1.45 million liters per day from the current 400,000 liters per day. Maharashtra’s pollution control board will hold a hearing this week regarding the proposed expansion.
