India’s biomass association pushing for parity feed-in tariffs with diesel and coal

In India, the country’s biomass association is pushing for the government to bring the feed-in tariff for renewables in line with those provided to coal and diesel-based power. About 2,700 MW of biomass-based power is provided to the grid currently, with 1,200MW coming from various sources of biomass and the rest coming from bagasse produced by sugar mills.
