Biofuels Digest Index plunges to 65.71 as OPEC quotas weigh

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, plunged 4.46 percent to 65.71 after OPEC declined to cut oil production quotas and energy stocks tumbled. For the day, Green Plains (GPRE) fell 11.16 percent to $30.01, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) plummeted 16.33 percent to $11.63. Among other equities, Gevo (GEVO) dropped 10.55 percent to $0.44. Overall, declines led advances 5 to 1 for the day.
