Latest Brazilian biodiesel auction sells 667.8 million liters

In Brazil, the country’s 40th biodiesel auction held on Dec. 9 saw 667.8 million liters of biodiesel sold, of which 98.6% came from producers holding the social seal. The average price was BRL2.194 per liter. A total of 40 producers offered 764.5 million liters at the auction. The fuel will be used to supply the country’s biodiesel blending mandate that was raised to 7% on Nov. 1.
