Finland grants funds to Poet-DSM partners and Neste Oil for biofuels projects

In Finland, the government has granted EUR30 million to Bioethanol Finland to support the development of the company’s 90 million liter per year cellulosic ethanol plant. The facility will produce fuel from straw. Poet-DSM Advanced Biofuels is collaborating with the plant to utilize the company’s technology. The government also granted Neste Oil EUR3.3 million for an add-on facility that will produce biofuel from tall oil pitch.
